Josiefry Baksh is the co-founder of the iMind Foundation, driven by a lifelong commitment to making mental health care accessible to all, regardless of financial circumstance.
Born and raised in poverty in the Philippines, she experienced trauma from an early age while living with an abusive, alcoholic father. With no access to mental health resources, she often felt isolated and powerless.
In 2001, Josiefry migrated to the United States, determined to build a better life. Through hard work and perseverance, she achieved financial stability and is now grateful for a loving family and strong support system. Despite this, she has never forgotten what it felt like to be a child without support.
The iMind Foundation was born from her mission to turn pain into purpose. Josiefry believes that no one should ever be denied care because of cost. Through compassion, advocacy, and action, she works to offer hope to individuals and families facing mental health challenges because she knows firsthand how transformative access to care can be.
